SEO needs to be done correctly and in competitive arenas it should be considered a long term investment. If anyone contacts you promising page one positions in the short term – they lie! ou can optimize the entire technical side of your site and still find it lost on page two or more in Google. SEO isn’t a trick. It isn’t something your web developer can do for you. The key to quality SEO is all about research research research.

Is your content suitable for the audience you want to target?

Google views your site as authoritative when other sites link back to it. It doesn’t want to see a site that is spammy linking back to your site. If you try and manipulate the system, you can get hit with a Google penalty and your site won't rank at all. When you start reading all about SEO, and all the different opinions out there about it, you might begin to sweat and feel little uncertain. It’s hard to tell exactly how much your company should invest in this line of marketing. You’d like to have a full-blow SEO campaign so you can run with the “big guys,” but you’re concerned that you just can’t afford it or that you simply can’t dedicate the necessary resources to it. Domain to page relevancy means the page linking to your website is relevant to your domain. Keep in mind that you must write for your readers, and not for Google’s spiders. Don’t do keyword stuffing.

Create a URL structure that follows your navigation hierarchy

Fully optimizing for user intent requires an understanding of how your potential customers buy via your inbound marketing channels. Add Content Expiry Headers

One of the strongest signals the engines use in rankings is anchor text. Google handles it, you don't really need to worry about the boilerplate content, Google can figure that part out. You should use your keyword or phrase in the URL of the web page - either the folder/directory structure or the HTML file/page name itself."

Make sure your website is indexed in Yahoo

Integrate keywords, not only into the content itself, but also into the title, the meta description and even the canonical URL. Satisfy your users’ intent. Give them the information they seek! Perhaps they are searching for formal wear. So, you are trying to rank for those things, tuxedos and formal dresses or wedding outfits, which are tough to rank for. The focus on the right audience and the right content brings an understanding of the content that they’re more likely to consume. Optimizing your images gives your website an additional chance to be found via image search.
