The two biggest algorithm changes that Google released to ward off the abuse of link building included the Panda and Penguin updates, which came out in 2011 and 2012, respectively (and received regular updates ever since). One cracked down on websites with poor quality content and the other penalized websites conducting spammy link building efforts. Online search is a murky world for those looking to be found at the top of Google's Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). There are thousands of millions of pages on the web, all ready to present the information on a variety of interesting and amusing topics. The Search Engines are the messengers of the same information at your disposal whenever you need them. Honestly, I wouldn’t suggest moving so quickly that you risk some type of penalty. Particularly with backlinking, if your ‘velocity’ or the time passing and frequency of links procured rises too fast – it will look fishy and unnatural.

Understand your user flows

Building trust in the customer through your content is a must. Focusing on user intent helps do it. We write content for our audience. Until our audience trusts our content it is of no use. Trust helps get exposure for your brand. Use trust building words. Follow up what you say with facts. If you want to simply attract users, focus more on SEO tactics that drive visitors to your site. If you want higher conversion rates once visitors get to your site, content marketing is more important. Launching a new website without putting 301 redirects in place is literally committing SEO suicide. Not only will you lose all of your past SEO history, your rankings (and traffic!) will plummet. Always, ALWAYS 301 redirect your old site pages to your new ones to let Google know where your new content can be found. Make sure that your web page URLs are SEO friendly, use mod re-write for Linux and Apahche hosting or use IIS redirect for Windows. Ideally make it so that the URLs describe your content.

Social media as a syndication platform

Optimise your website content for the best organic reach possible. Links found within the main body text of a webpage is more valuable than links found in separate plugins or widgets found elsewhere on the page. To best understand your backlink profile, it makes sense to look at a few top level KPI’s such as the referring domains and IP’s, the country from where the backlink is coming from, and the Top-Level-Domain. Search engines are powerful because they provide targeted traffic. Or in other words, search engines bring users that are seeking what you offer or sell. Targeted website traffic provides revenue and exposure like no other channel of marketing. Investing in SEO can have a much higher rate of return when compared to other types of marketing efforts.

Use outbound link strategies

Getting the technical details of search engine-friendly web development correct is important, but once the basics are covered, you must also market your content. If you are putting content on your own site, try to keep things fairly uniform. This can help you start building your own following and establish your own voice. Of course, that shouldn’t stop you from doing something that has more of a “shock factor.” Something a little more controversial can draw in big crowds, which translates to a lot of clicks and comments. Google is a very smart company. The sophistication of the algorithms they write is incredible; bear in mind that there are currently cars driving themselves around Silicon Valley powered by Google’s algorithms. According to Gaz Hall, a UK SEO Consultant : "Responsive design — or, in other words, a Web layout that provides a quality experience no matter the screen size — is among the factors Google uses to determine search results. You may even find your site penalized if you haven’t yet embraced responsive design."

How Search Engines work?

In simple words, International SEO is the effort of localisation of your content and website in order to attract relevant local visitors in the countries you are entering. Having an appropriate title will increase traffic to your site. The placement of keywords in your title has a huge impact on determining where a search engine will place your site. The page’s title should include some of your site’s keywords to increase your ranking in the search engines. SEO changes quickly. Information that was true six months ago, may not be true today. One of the most frequently asked questions by fellow SEO consultants probably is: “What online marketing tools do you use?”
