Most marketers focusing on SEO break down SEO into onpage
efforts and off-page efforts. And when focusing on
off-page efforts, a common SEO mistake marketers make is
believing that their site will receive more SEO traffic if only
they can find enough websites to build links on. I spent years and years focusing on doing nothing but building backlinks. The social hit and I had to change my focus. Now links are back as number #1 again, but honestly, did they ever really stop being the top factor? The bottom line is that if you’re focusing on a small group of generic keywords, you’re probably not being found by most of the people who are searching for you. Most blogs and websites have an overall voice that they aim to maintain. While some may try to keep things simple and entertaining, some sites are more professional. If you are hoping to tap into a place with an established following, you should create your content to match the stuff that is already there.
The reality is – SEO isn’t rocket science
Google defines duplicate content as large blocks of text
used across multiple pages, or even other websites, that are
exactly the same or very similar. Simply put, you don’t want
to use large blocks of the same text on more than one page
of your website. Guest Blogging simply means
writing an article for another site. By doing this, not only will you be directing that site’s audience straight to your content, but you will also be generating an incredibly useful backlink. This is also a great way to increase your site’s reach and expand your audience, increasing your following and thus potential to build further backlinks and rank higher on Google. Don’t be scared by the acronym SEO, it just allows sites like Google to read your website and rate you in terms of how relevant you are to the users search terms. when writing for the internet, break up your paragraphs as often as possible. Lots of white space makes reading text on mobile phones a heck of a lot easier (more than half of most websites’ traffic comes from mobile), and clearly formatted articles are used as a Google ranking signal.
Is the content ranking well for other keywords?
So what it does it take to achieve a high ranking on Google? Google pays attention to
third-party expert testimonials from independent sources – reviews, references, news articles. Recommendations from professional societies, are strong evidence of very positive reputation. If you are a webmaster and do not have a BWT (Bing Webmaster Tools), it is prudent to sign up. Bing, the Microsoft-owned search engine has been adding new features to its tools to become more competitive. You should always Google keywords before committing to them.because it’ll help you to understand what—in Google’s eyes—is the best result for that particular keyword. If most of the results are vastly different to the content you’re trying to rank, it probably isn’t a great keyword to target.
Socialize on Twitter as much as you can
Being on Yahoo or Google’s front page for your respective niche is the ultimate goal of every site. This can be a very competitive market to break into. According to Google, one of the most important steps in improving your site's ranking in Google search results is to ensure that it contains plenty of rich information that includes relevant keywords, used appropriately, that indicate the subject matter of your content. Today, if you want to appear relevant and valuable, you need to increase the length of your articles. I’m not asking you to pad or copy and paste just to meet up with the ideal words count. Get high quality backlinks from trusted sources
Analyzing content alone is not real SEO. Making a deliverable look pretty for a client is not SEO. Trust an SEO expert
who will build a campaign that uses a proven process, creates original branded content and monitors relevant metrics. In link analysis, search engines measure who is linking to a site or page and what they are saying about that site/page. Make sure the web server is able to handle the needs of your website. If the server is overloaded, your site will be slow.
